Well, the dust has settled on HeroPubcrawl for another year.

The turnout was fantastic, the host bars loved us, the public didn't know what hit them and everyone had a great time.

First and foremost we want to say a big thankyou to various people who helped make the day such a success.

A massive thanks to Giles G Photography for the awesome work he did both at the photoshoot and following us motley bunch around to document the day / night.

Thankyou to Christine Tuddenham of Bespoke Beauty who did a great job painting up our more colourful members.

Abstract sprocket for the promotion (and generous gifts for attendants) that they provided.

S.H.O.O.S.H - Norweigan Blue - The Odeon Cinema - and all the other venues who received us so well.

And finally all the attendants who made the journey to Norwich for the day, they made the event what it was.

All in all, the day ran without major misshap, we made some new friends, raised money which will be directed to the Heroes Alliance UK (of which we are proud members) to pass onto the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. Many of us gleefully drank the themed cocktails, dared to try some of the more lethal shots and danced our spandex clad bottoms off till the wee hours.

HeroPubcrawl will be appearing at various locations throughout Norwich City centre / Riverside.

HOWEVER, we are very proud to announce that we have two host bars sponsoring us for the evening, if you want a to be guaranteed to meet us, come and join us at the following locations.

We will be appearing at S.H.O.O.S.H at 7pm, and Norwegian Blue at 10pm.

HeroPubcrawl prices are £70.00 per room, which will sleep 2 adults (Double or Twin Rooms available). This price will also include breakfast (normally extra), but you MUST follow the steps below to activate your free breakfast.

1) In the drop down box that asks which hotel you require, you must select 'Norwich Nelson City Centre Riverside'.

2) The date of the Event is Saturday the 10th of October

Hi everyone......

Plans are still charging ahead for HeroPubcrawl 2009.

However, as some people know, my Two and a half year old son has been hospitalised for several weeks now (with me by his bedside). He's home now, but this has cost us a month worth of planning and costume production. We already have over 70 people wishing to attend, and although there are well over 30 who have their own costumes (Phew!) it is unlikely that we will have time to make costumes for all those hoping to have one made.

So in short, there is no set date as such, but costume production is on a first come, first served basis. If you have already asked for us to make your costume but haven't yet paid deposits etc, then ensure you contact us at the earliest opportunity to discuss getting your costume made. Of course all new applications to attend will be accepted bearing in mind that if they need a costume making they will need to contact us immediately to see if we have the time to make costumes.

Also we need ALL attendants to ensure they have both filled out the APPLICATION form on the JOIN US page and signed and returned the ATTENDANCE AGREEMENT asap. All registration fees need to be sent ASAP as we are now booking food etc for the meetup / photoshoot. Membership cards are on their way so enure your registration is complete to avoid missing out.

Hi everyone....

I'm pleased to announce that HeroPubcrawl now has an official photographer.

London based Giles G, will be with us for the day, taking not only our portrait / costume shots, but accompanying us all day / night to capture our best (and worst) moments.

Best of all, as a costume fan, see if you can spot him sporting a Daily Bugle press pass as everyone's favourite wall crawler's alter ego - Peter Parker.

We are still ironing out all of the details for 2009's HeroPubcrawl. We are in talks with various 'Host' venues to see who's gonna give us the best goodies etc to make them our 'main' appearance destination. Membership cards will start shipping out soon.....(So make sure you've completed your registration via the JOIN US page and forwarded your registration fee).

Promotional posters are beginning to appear around the UK in various locations....if you know of somewhere you'd like to see one displayed then drop me an E-mail (heropubcrawl@live.com) and I'll get a poster out to you.

We are still open to suggestions about things you'd like to see at this year's event so feel free to voice your ideas on the face book page or E-mail me with your thoughts at the above address.

Okay.....

So far we've had a MASSIVE response for attending 2009's HeroPubcrawl.

As such we have decided to start charging a registration fee........now before you all start flying off the handle please read below.

We have always maintained that HeroPubcrawl is a non profit organisation and it will stay that way...the registration fee is not making us any profit, it will simply show who is actually committed to attending rather than signing up with no real intention of going. We have had too many people in the past who have said they want to go and then gradually lost interest leaving us out of pocket and time as we have often made costumes for them at our own time and expense.

Also, the event has become so big that we now will have an official photographer there to document the attendants on the day of the event, this along with the production of flyers, posters, membership cards etc is not cheap......the registartion fee will go some way to cover these costs....something we have previously done at our own expense.

Registration will be £20 and is NON-Refundable should you wish to pull out. Please see the Join Us page for details of payment methods accepted.......

In summary.......in both 2006 and 2007 we have spent many many hundreds of pounds and hundreds of our own hours making this event happen......as it is growing in size we need to ensure that we can still afford to organise thie event and have people serious about attending it. We want everyone to have a great time and we need to do things the right way, not let two or three people put in all the effort for many others to half-heartedly attend and not care about the time / money that goes into it.

Okay......Sucky bit over.....let's get things rolling for 2009...........PARTY ON GUYS AND GALS.

It was incredible......Joining the parade with our good friends the league of heroes, meeting Adam West, hanging out and partying with my borthers and sisters at the Wolfpack Elite.......all just too awesome.......definitely going back next year........ABSO...FAN...FRIGGIN...TASTIC!!!!!

I'm sorry to say that there will be no HeroPubcrawl in 2008........after 2 very successful years we are taking a quick break because...................

I'M COMING TO AMERICA BABY!

I have been invited by my very good friends over at the League Of Heroes (check out their forum on the links page for more costuming goodness than you can shake Mjolnir at) to join them at DragonCon 2008.

Don't fear, for those of you wanting some HeroPubcrawl goodness, this just gives us time to plan a REALLY big event for 2009.

Well the day has come and gone.

There was plenty of revelling, drinking and partying to be had, and a big thankyou goes out to everyone who gave us a warm welcome.

Special thanks to Mercy nightclub for placing us on the V.I P guestlist.

We had last minute additions........check out our stand-in Superman (big shout out to Neil who spent most of the day and night wondering where the hell he actually was and why he was dressed like Superman, he only came to wave his flat-mate Matt (Riddler) goodbye...ha ha ha ha ha).

The suits held up mostly well under the understandable pressure.....all bar THOR.....who managed to completely wreck his costume along with his sense of self-esteem....he he (well....it WAS his stag night).

As stated, Dave and Andrea (Thor and Power Girl) had a great stag and hen night, and many congrats on the wedding guys.

To the attractive young blonde who made off with Captain Cold's Freeze gun........he's had to retire from crime now hope you're happy........:)

The new recruits held up well and plans are bieng made for the next big event.

Date not yet confirmed...Will be around the end of October.

besides that, not much else to report as time grows closer......except some of the girls have just realised exactly how tight the costumes are......
